金價縮水，全球風險無法激起太大水花

7月，國際金價收陽，創下新高，美聯儲在7月末啟動近十年來的首次降息，同時全球經濟衰退風險加劇，貿易紛爭升溫，中東局勢依舊緊張。但美聯儲主席鮑威爾打消了市場對美聯儲進一步放寬貨幣政策的預期，金價與之前的走勢相比有所縮水。
數據顯示，6月美國非農就業崗位增加22.4萬個，遠高於市場預期的增加16萬個。此外美國6月零售銷售、工業產值、耐用品訂單和二季度GDP數據均好於預期，仍然支撐著美國有史以來持續時間最長的經濟擴張。
因此美聯儲還是在月末開啟近十年來首度降息——下調聯邦基金利率25個基點。美聯儲7月政策會議聲明稱，企業固定投資增長疲弱，基於市場的通脹補償指標仍低，通脹壓力遲滯。
不過美聯儲沒有給出鴿派的前景展望，表明其沒有進一步放寬政策的迫切性，因此降息未能令投資者感到振奮。美聯儲主席鮑威爾在美聯儲聲明發佈後舉行的新聞發佈會上表示，此次降息是一次週期內的政策調整。
美聯儲決策者選擇降息，主要是為了應對風險，而且這些風險大多來自政府。特朗普推行激進的貿易政策，對外高築關稅壁壘，已讓企業對未來感到不確定，而且在投資上更加裹足不前。
這也是導致全球製造業降溫的一個因素，加劇了歐洲和日本人口老齡化等長期因素帶來的負面影響。貿易不確定性、企業投資低迷和海外經濟增長疲軟是美聯儲月末降息的主要理由。
消息同時說，雙方還討論了中方根據國內需要從美國增加農產品採購，以及美方將為採購創造良好條件。雙方下一輪磋商將於9月在華盛頓舉行，但在此前的8月雙方將在工作層面密集磋商。
美國政府早前對印度鋼鋁產品加征關稅，並取消給予印度的普遍優惠制待遇。總統特朗普隨後抨擊印度對美國商品徵收報復性關稅。特朗普稱：“長期以來，印度一直借機對美國產品徵收關稅。再也無法接受！”
英國皇家海軍陸戰隊隨後在直布羅陀扣押了一艘巨型伊朗油輪，此事觸怒了德黑蘭當局。作為報復，後者在霍爾木茲海峽附近俘扣了一艘懸掛英國國旗的油輪。伊朗與西方之間的對抗隨之加劇。
分析師表示：“支持ETF增持黃金和央行購買黃金的因素包括貨幣政策更趨寬鬆以及地緣政治不確定性等，我們認為這些因素將持續存在.”
