7月29日，市場上的各個主要投資品種的波動幅度有限，市場仍然擔憂美聯儲大幅度降息，在交易上不敢隨意做單。同時也希望本周的美聯儲決議能夠給市場接下來的波動帶來明確指引。
金價窄幅震盪，市場仍然擔憂美聯儲大幅度降息，美國總統特朗普時段內再度口頭干預美聯儲稱，美聯儲加息太早太多，小幅降息是不夠的，投資者在週三決議前保持謹慎；
原油價格小幅攀升，價格整體仍然處在震盪區間，中東局勢有緩和跡象，全球經濟放緩擔憂仍然給油價帶來潛在下行壓力。美國能源公司數據顯示，上周連續第四周減少了石油鑽井平臺的數量，鑽機數量連續第八個月下降，給油價帶來一些支撐。
外匯市場上，英鎊週一大幅下挫，英國首相詹森週一表示，為無協議脫歐做準備是有責任感的體現。詹森稱，如果歐盟不肯就擔保協議作出改變，那麼我們必須為無協議脫歐做好準備，硬脫歐的擔憂情緒重挫英鎊。
投資者更擔心美聯儲在降息的同時釋放出需要在之後下一步行動之前觀望更長時間的“鷹派”言論，因此，美元空頭並不敢趁著這個契機提早入場佈局。
伊朗與俄羅斯、中國、法國、德國和英國的官員28日在奧地利首都維也納碰面，就挽救伊朗核問題全面協議再做努力。伊朗外交部副部長阿巴斯·阿拉格希說，各方“談得不錯”。

此外，伊朗外長紮裏夫在接受美國CNN的採訪時，建議華盛頓不要試圖與德黑蘭達成新的核協議，而是回到談判桌上，並遵守上一屆美國政府簽署的所有條約和協議。紮裏夫相信，過去40年來，伊朗在面對來自美國的持續壓力下學會了生存，並且能夠承受新的壓力。
隨著消費支出的增加，美國經濟增長在第二季度放緩低於預期，加強了石油消費前景，但美國境外的增長放緩的速度更快，部分原因在於全球貿易戰的影響。全球貿易的擔憂情緒依然還在延續，這引發了市場對需求前景的擔憂。”
本周英國央行和日本央行也將公佈利率決議。經濟學家均預計，兩家央行都不會在本周會議上作出政策調整。
在美聯儲宣佈貨幣政策決定後，本週五投資者還將迎來重要的7月非農就業報告，該報告將為投資者瞭解美國勞動力市場與國內經濟狀況提供進一步的證據。
