零售銷售不及預期 黃金持續高位震盪
現貨黃金截止至5月16日14：00開盤于1296.3美元/盎司，早間亞盤時段黃金交投較淡，整體仍舊維持在高位1297-1295美元/盎司2美元區間內震盪運行，等待行情以及方向的突破來臨。
沒有理由加息及降息：美聯儲巴爾金表示，今年到目前為止的通脹率略低於我們的目標。這很可能是由於暫時因素造成的。在這種情況下，保持耐心是有道理的。在通脹受到控制時，沒有加息的強有力理由；當經濟增長保持健康時，也沒有降息的強有力理由。我耐心的一個原因是我相信我們的經濟在去年年底和今年年初出現了一次短期的情緒震盪。
EIA產量下降: 美國能源資訊署(EIA)公佈的資料顯示，截至5月10日當周美國除卻戰略儲備的商業原油庫存增加543.1萬桶至4.72億桶，增加1.2%，原油庫存續刷2017年9月以來最高水準。汽油庫存減少112.3萬桶；精煉油庫存增加8.4萬桶。上周美國國內原油產量減少10萬桶至1210萬桶/日，連續第二周下滑。
