克拉裏達將出任美聯儲副主席：當地時間8月28日，美國國會參議院以69-26的投票，確認經濟學家克拉裏達將出任美聯儲副主席。克拉裏達的任期將於2022年2月1日屆滿。在貨幣政策立場方面，克拉裏達被視為 “中間派”人士，他對貨幣政策的觀點與美聯儲主席鮑威爾基本一致。
多國增加石油供應：非OPEC國家的石油供應中斷目前已達到75萬桶/日，創下了15個月高點。但是，隨著加拿大的石油工廠恢復生產，大部分供應問題將很快得到解決。此外，蘇丹和南蘇丹之間的一項新協議可能會提高蘇丹的石油產出水準。與此同時，預計加拿大、巴西和美國將增加石油產量，這三個國家繼續推動OPEC以外國家的石油產量增長。
