現貨黃金低位震盪 庫存增加拖累油價
現貨黃金市場2018年8月15日3點整收盤於每盎司1194.3美元，較前一交易日收盤價相比，微漲0.8美元，現貨白銀震盪，報15.05美元/盎司。
年內黃金或將持續受壓：黃金和美元已被市場上的一些投資者視為替代品，突顯出美元走高與金價下跌之間的強烈相關性。有分析認為，美元進入2019年將持續走強，因此並不預期在此之前金價將出現很大幅度的反彈，金價要到2019年年中才會回升，預計年底前不會高於每盎司1200美元，只有在明年美國經濟增長出現惡化美元回落時，金價才能重返昔日的輝煌。
API原油庫存意外大增：北京時間8月15日淩晨，美國石油學會公佈的數據顯示，美國截至8月10日當周API原油庫存增加366萬桶；汽油庫存減少156萬桶；精煉油庫存增加194萬桶；數據公佈後，美油短線快速跳水。目前，美油報66.07美元/桶。
