美國勞動力市場緊縮：上周美國初請失業金人數意外下降，表明勞動力市場狀況進一步緊縮，勞動力市場接近或處於充分就業狀態。由於有跡象顯示，美國經濟各個領域的工人短缺都在加劇，迅速收緊的勞動力市場環境和不斷加劇的通脹，鞏固了美聯儲下周將加息的預期。
歐銀官員大放鷹派：歐洲央行首席經濟學家普雷特表示，歐洲央行下周將討論是否在今年稍晚結束購債計畫；德國央行行長魏德曼稱，有關歐洲央行將在今年年底前結束購債計畫的預期似乎是合理的。此番言論超出市場預期，此前市場認為義大利政局動盪會促使歐洲央行在下周議息會議上對結束購債發表謹慎表態。
