美元乘勝追擊 黃金弱勢震盪
國際現貨黃金截止至5月21日14:00收盤價為1286.8美元/盎司，現貨黃金在早間無力沖高後選擇回落，目前價格回到近期低點1285附近一線震盪。現貨黃金價格依然受到壓制，短期內重新站上1300關口上方可能性較小。
實物黃金需求下降：今年第一季度疲軟的實物黃金需求很可能是暫時的現象。世界黃金協會估計，第一季度的黃金需求下降了7%，這是10年來的最低點，主要是因為印度需求減少了12%。然而，正如世界黃金協會指出的那樣，第一季度印度舉辦婚禮的好日子相對較少，因此對該季度的黃金需求造成衝擊。
美國開展新措施：美國財政部18日以涉嫌毒品走私、洗錢等活動為由，宣佈對委內瑞拉執政黨副主席卡韋略及其數名親屬進行經濟制裁。自去年下半年以來，美國以委國內人權和民主問題為由多次對委實施經濟和金融制裁。意味著如果美國執意要因此次大選制裁委內瑞拉，或進一步加重該國的政治經濟危機。
