现货黄金与现货白银同样是以美元作为计价单位的，由此可得，美元和白银有反比的链接关系，既美元涨，白银跌；美元跌，白银涨。那么就有聪明的投资者问到，既然美元和白银有着这样一个相互影响的关系，在这个外汇和贵金属投资的市场在中，又可不可以利用他们的关系来做对冲呢？
一、什么是白银对冲交易呢？
对冲交易即同时进行两笔行情相关、方向相反、数量相当、盈亏相抵的贵金属交易。就好比花生和花生油，大家都知道花生油是由花生压榨而成的，如果花生的价格上涨，花生油的价格肯定有随之上涨。
因此，我们可以把这两个行情相关的品种来做对冲，在买入做多花生的期货同时又卖出沽空花生油的期货，如果花生期货上涨，就代表花生油期货都上涨，我们就平仓了之前做空的花生油期货，那么就可以获取花生期货的利润。相反，如果花生期货的价格下跌，就代表花生油期货都下跌，我们就平仓做多的花生期货，那么就可以获取花生油期货的利润。对冲交易就是利用其中的价差来获取收益。
二、美元和白银可以做对冲吗？
答案是可以的。既然白银现货交易单位是美元，我们就可以利用这个关系，来做对冲。与上面我们所说的例子一样，在投资者买入做多白银的同时，我们可以买入做多美元（因为与花生和花生油不一样，美元和白银是反比的关系，所以做对冲的方向必须一致）。如果白银的价格上涨，就代表美元下跌，那么就可以把手中做多的美元平仓，利用白银获利；反之，如果白银的价格下跌，就代表美元上涨，那么就可以手中做多的美元平仓，利用美元获利。
在外汇与贵金属等大宗商品的市场经济中，可以做“对冲”的白银交易有很多种，但最适宜的还是白银与美元。首先是因为白银期货交易采用保证金制度，只需投入较少的资金，这样同时做两笔交易成本增加不多，又可以做好白银现货止损了。
