由于止损能够最大限度地规避风险，也是说止损是控制风险的必要手段，在白银投资交易中，投资者对市场的总体位置、趋势的把握是十分重要的。在银价的波动相对剧烈的时刻，应该多用止损，在银价走势较弱的时候，可以尽量少用或不用，当银价波动为区间箱体震荡时，应视市场运动趋势而定。顺势而为，用好止损点是投资者获胜的不二法门。
我们来看一下止损点的设定有哪些方法，
1、 正规止损：当投资者买入白银合约后，由于市场发生状况促使银价走势与所持合约的方向相反，这时要立即平仓或止损。
2、 辅助性止损：在实践中经常运用的有最大亏损法、回撤止损、横盘止损、期望R乘数止损、关键心理价位止损、切线支撑位止损、移动均线止损、成本均线止损、布林通道止损、波动止损、K线组合止损、筹码密集区止损、CDP(逆势操作)止损等。投资者要应结合自身风险承受能力进行判断，选择适合自己的止损方法。
如何判断止损位置是否设好？
判定止损位置是否设好，需要对重要点位进行判断，我们可以根据每日的行情分析中的具体阻力和支撑位来综合判断。当我们在某一支撑位做多时，止损可设置于下一个支撑位下方，同样的道理，若在某一阻力做空，止损即可放在上一个阻力位的上方。
止损距离入市价位的远近：可依据上面的寻求止损点中的阻力支撑来设置，这里我们所说的止损的大小更多的应依据利润空间来设置，这就是以小博大，当我们的利润空间只能看到5-8个点时，止损可控制在3个点左右;操作中长线交易止损点可适当放大，利润点在30个点以上时，止损可设置为8-10个点以上。当然止损的大小更多的参考因素还是在阻力以及支撑。
