摆动指数(或称震荡量指标)是计算当日现货白银收市价与”N”日的平均收市价之比率。震荡量是动量指标的另一表现形式，一般用百分比值来加以计算。其内涵是以当日收盘价除以N日前收盘价，再乘以100。
计算方法非常简单，公式如下:
OSC=(Ct÷Ct-n)×100
Ct为当日收市价，Ct-n为N日前收市价。
摆动指标(OSC)的分析方法如下:
1、当摆动指针上破指数移动平均线(EMA)时，可视作入货讯号。
2、当摆动指针下破指数移动平均线(EMA)时，为沽货讯号。
3、作为趋势转向方法分析，可观察摆动指针及价格是否出现背驰。如背驰走势是出现在价格上升趋势时，表示升势将会转向，应考虑沽货。若背驰走势出现在价格下跌趋势时，则表示跌势将止，可考虑趁低入货。
摆动指标的演绎方法与相对强弱指数(RSI)相同，但跟相对强弱指数(RSI)比较，摆动指标更先给予投资者趋势转向讯号，而相对强弱指数(RSI)则能较准确地显示超买或超卖讯。
有三种情况，摆动指数最具效用。这三种情况对绝大多数摆动指数说都是共同的。
1。当摆动指数的值到上边界或下边界的极限值时，最有意义。如果它接近上边界，市场就处于所谓”超买状态”;如果它接近下边界，市场就处于所谓”超卖状态”。这两种读数都是警讯，表示市场趋势走的太远，开始有些脆弱起来。
2。单摆动指数处于极限位置，并且摆动指数与价格变化之间出现了相互背离现象时，通常构成重要的预警信号。
3。如果摆动指数顺着市场趋势的方向穿越零线，可能是重要的买卖信号。
