在制定计划时，尽管需要考虑许多关键因素，但核心问题始终是在什么情况下退出已经进入的交易。这实际上包括三个退出计划。其一，必须有一个接受损失的计划，一旦交易失利，就应坦然退出。其二，必须有一个接受赢利的计划，一旦赢利目标达到，即可满意而归。其三，必须有一个计划，它使交易人在发现市价在相当一段时间内不会发生重要变化时退出交易。
合理控制仓位。这是第一位的，因为只有合理控制了仓位，你才有稳定盈利的机会，不然，你的帐户纵然有过赢利，到最后也会一败涂地。一般将资金的5-10%入市，如果你的帐户资金只有1万美金，那么，你首次进单最好是不超过一标准手（100盎司），不管是多或空。在行情较好的情况下，进场单子有获利情况下，可以0。5手一加一加的来做，仓位不要超出2标准手，相反，如果进场单子在亏损，千万不要逆市加码，除非你有几亿的资金可以撑。同样，5000美金的帐户，最好做0.5的单子。
当你进行现货白银投资同时应确立可容忍地亏损范围，善用止损投资，才不致于出现巨额亏损，亏损范围依帐户资金情形，最好设定在帐户总额3-10%，当亏损金额已达你地容忍限度，不要找寻借口试图孤注一掷去等待行情回转，应立即平仓，即使5分钟后行情真地回转，不要婉息，因为你已除去行情继续转坏，损失无限扩大地风险。你必需拟定投资策略，切记是你去控制投资，而不是让投资控制了你，自己伤害自己。
要记住市场古老通则：亏损部位要尽快终止，获利部位能持有多久就放多久。另一重要守则是不要让亏损发生在原已获利地部位上，面对市场突如其来地反转走势， 与其平仓于没有获利地情形也不要让原已获利地仓位变成亏损地情形。具体做法是随着价格地上扬[或下降]逐步提高 [或降低]你地止损[赢]位置，不要自相情愿地认为会无限地涨下去，坚决不要把已经获利地单子做成亏损。
