在现货白银交易中，我们常说的杠杆，其实是指利用保证金交易制度达成的资金放大倍数。杠杆比例越大，资金放大的倍数就越大，资金利用率也越高。反之杠杆比例越小，资金放大的倍数就越小，资金利用率也会降低。
简单举个例子就是，如果杠杆比是1:100，那么投资资金的放大倍数就是100倍，也就是说本来价值100万的东西，如果没有杠杆就只能拿出全额100万来买，有了杠杆后我们只要1万就能获得交易权了。而一般我们买1手白银，通常价格都是远高于1000美元的，但在杠杆交易中只需支付1000美元保证金就够了，而不用按国际银价全额支付。
2、交易杠杆能放大收益
除了节省成本外，现货白银交易杠杆还会按比例放大我们的收益，提高获利率。举个例子，假设你在17美元/盎司的价格，拿出1000美元做多1手白银，当天如果银价上升到17.5美元/盎司，那么你的收益就是（17.5-17）×2500合约单位×1手交易量=1250美元，日内获利率达到125%！
