1、当发现自己的买入是一种严重的错误时，一定要果断卖出，不要错过止损的机会，另外要避免在低位操作。
2、当明显感觉贵金属价格将大幅下挫或大幅上涨（总之就是与自己投资的方向出现相反时），应第一时间止损或平仓。

该策略适用于轻仓投资者，即随贵金属价格下挫（上涨）幅度扩增反而加码买进，以待价格回升获利。简单来举例就是，当伦敦金锁单的时候，既然资金都被套死了，投资者就反道而行利用低位或高位买进，再选择合适时机放出，通过这样一个过程来降低亏损的程度。因为通常每当贵金属牛市行情经过一段时间的大幅上涨或者大幅下跌的时候，都会有反弹的迹象，投资者可以逢低补仓，降低成本，甚至使亏损的贵金属盈利。当然，在使用该策略前必须确认该贵金属的行情并未进入熊市，否则容易愈陷愈深。
