止盈，与止损相对，是指当某一投资出现的盈利达到预定数额时及时平仓出局，以避免价格突然的回落导致即将到手的利润消失。其目的就在于让投资者对收益落袋为安。与止损一样，止盈，一般都是与开仓方向相反的订单，但与止损不同的是，其设置的价位为同向的。
例如，以伦敦金交易为例，投资者在1265处做了一手多单，那么他的止盈一般设置在1265上方，比如1280，方向为卖出；当价格朝着预期的方向发展，涨至1380时，止盈订单被触发，此时的交易为卖出方向，平仓出场，达到伦敦金套利的目的。
解读：
一般而言，止盈会对价格原有运行趋势产生阻力，上涨过程中的止盈盘，若被触发，价格会回落；下跌过程中的止盈盘，触发时贵金属行情会反弹。
