目前市场上关于贵金属投资的教程和方法很多，有些侧重于基本面，有些侧重于技术面，但无论从消息面还是技术面来看，都有其局限性，首先：消息面的影响层面较弱，只能局部影响到汇率的波动，但日常的震荡和走势更多的取决于全球投资人的预判。
技术面则更为复杂，而且贵金属交易市场本质上是一个混沌状态，没有100%的自然规律可言，如果一味误信技术则可能导致判断完全失误，需结合当时的消息面加以考虑。
总之，贵金属投资是世界上最常用的投资保值和双向交易的产品，贵金属平台亦可模拟交易，所以投资市场中存在着众多不同种类投资类型。
保证金交易的最小单位，如果是标准帐户，一般网络上的经纪商提供的交易单位是1手（lot）的成交量是10万基础货币。如果是迷你帐户，则一手的成交是标准帐户的1/10。
