白银的分类

纯银又称纹银，目前现有的科学能够提炼的最高纯度为99.999%以上，纯银一般是作为国家金库的储备物，所以纯银的成色一般不应低于99.6%。而低于这个级别的，含量大于等于99%的白银，我们称作为足银。一般材质较软，不适合做成饰品。
色银又称普通首饰银或次银。在纯银或足银中加入少量的其他金属，一般是加入物理化学性质与银相近的铜元素，就可以形成质地比较坚硬的色银。色银富有韧性，并保持了纯银的延展性，同时可以减低空气对银的氧化作用，因此，色银首饰的表面色泽较之纯银与足银更不易改变。中国色银的成色规定以百分数表示，国外一般规定以千分数表示，如中国的“80银”与外国的“800S”（S为英文银Silver的缩写）都表示银的成色为80%。
