贵金属行情受各种各样因素影响，由于贵金属品种中的黄金白银具有避险和商品两大属性，当一些国际经济或政治事件导致市场出现较大范围的恐慌情绪，引发市场避险需求，将刺激贵金属行情上涨，另外央行政策对汇市走势的影响，黄金白银在大多数投资者心中有着全球主要货币同样重要的储备资产地位，当欧元美元出现显著波动时，贵金属行情也会有较大起伏。
利好消息是指提振贵金属行情低位回升或上涨的消息，利空消息是指打压贵金属行情高位回落或下跌的消息。当消息面引发贵金属行情呈现某一属性时，这个消息就是利好的，例如此前美联储启动QE，说明美国经济成长停滞，引发美元恐慌抛售，避险情绪升温，资金流入贵金属交易市场，刺激金银走高。
当利好/利空消息发布前后，行情都会出现一定范围的波动，在消息面公布前的波动，一般是重要经济数据或政策公布前，市场对其预期的结果，例如非农预期向好，该消息面公布前金价会有所上升，我们就可顺着预期轻仓交易。在消息面发布后的波动，我们可直接按行情走向进场，特别是突发性的消息，可引发较大幅度的价位波动，顺势操作就能赚取可观盈利。

当行情到达该时段的压力/支撑点位时，可关注后市是突破还是回归原来区间之中，谨慎进场即可。如下图所示：
上图为2015年9月底的国际现货黄金1小时K线图，该时段内K线呈震荡下行走势，触及圆圈中的反转价位就是确定买卖的有利时机，两个位置都说明金价尝试下破时刻出现一定的反弹修正，做空思路应转变为轻仓看多。
