3、某些行情中点差不会被扩大过多
在一些特别的情况下，如非农数据公布前后，为了维护投资者利益，无论是浮动点差账户还是固定点差账户，其点差都会被拉大，然而由于浮动点差的变动范围较大，而固定点差要维持其固定的特点，因而浮动点差这的被拉大的点差一般是大于固定点差账户的。
二、固定点差的劣势
虽然固定点差账户优点较多，但其相对于浮动点差而言，具有成本相对较大的缺点。固定点差一般标准为0.5美元/盎司，而浮动点差由于能够在一定范围内波动，在一定情况下，其点差很多时候是低于0.5美元/盎司的，这就导致了浮动点差的投资成本相对较低。
