伦敦金点差，是指伦敦金交易点差，它是固定存在于伦敦金交易的一种点差，点差并不是佣金，更不是手续费，它反映的是金融机构与银行关于买售金的额外收益，假设现时五大金商给出的黄金价格在国际市场的卖出价为1000美元/盎司，金融机构要买入现货黄金的话，就要以1000美元/盎司的价格来买入，然后再卖给客户的话，那么当然是要增加一定的额外收益。
例如服装店要买入一件衣服，该衣服10件的批发价为500元，即1件的批发价则为50元，若店主把衣服卖出的话，卖出价当然比50元要高的，他可以卖60元、80元，甚至100元一件。正如我们选择的从事伦敦金投资业务的金融机构一样，它以1000美元/盎司的价格买入，那么卖出价就调整为1000.5美元/盎司，我们买入伦敦金（即做多），那么就要在1000.5美元/盎司这个价位买入，其中的0.5美元/盎司，即为金融机构赚取的收入，客户做一个标准手交易，那么就等于给予金融机构50美元的收入，且点差是按手数大小计算比例的，手数越大，点差也相应增大，如做10个标准手，就等于给予金融机构500美元的收入。
而大田环球贵金属推出的微点差账户中，伦敦金的交易点差并不是固定点差50美元/手，而是浮动点差，一般为10~20美元/手之间，在行情波动大的时刻也一般低于25美元/手，这样客户每交易一单，就等于为客户节省了50%以上的交易成本，随着交易次数的增大，省下来的交易成本也就越多。
凡是经营贵金属投资交易业务的公司或机构在提供客户伦敦金买入和卖出价时，都会把点差计算在内，作为买入价和卖出价之间的差值，这样一来既可以获取中间人的利益（交易成本越大，中间人利益越多），二来可以避免贵金属买卖行情大幅波动带来风险，每手50美元即为伦敦金交易中的5个点，就是因为有这5个点，有时能避开一些跳空或反转行情，例如金价向下运行至1212.2美元/盎司时正好反转，而平台的买入报价为1212.4美元/盎司，做空的可以就即时的买入价位1212.4美元/盎司手动平仓，确保实现炒黄金止盈。
