伦敦金的过市保证金，是指伦敦金交易单经历了周五夜间至周一早间黄金市场开市时段前，或者伦敦金交易单经历了国内金市的休市节假日以后，若伦敦金交易单在此前时段内并没有作平仓处理的话，除了要支付按日计算的伦敦金隔夜利息之外，还要支付一定的伦敦金过市保证金，所谓的伦敦金过市保证金，就是与伦敦金即市保证金相反，伦敦金即市保证金为客户当天建仓以后，当天之内就把伦敦金交易单子平掉，交易平台对建仓头寸收取的一种保证金，通常每平仓一手，客户都要支付给交易平台即市保证金。
不同交易平台的伦敦金过市保证金收取额度都不一样，在大田贵金属，伦敦金的过市保证金为伦敦金即市保证金的1.5倍，也就是说伦敦金过市保证金的过市保证金为伦敦金即市保证金*1.5=1000美元/手*1.5=1500美元/手，港币计算为8000港币/手*1.5=12000港币/手，收取方式是从客户账户的可用保证金余额里扣除。
伦敦金过市保证金的收取，可以让交易平台认可客户对未平仓伦敦金交易单在新一个交易日中平仓的抗风险能力，因为有时国内由于法定节假日的原因休市，而国外黄金市场行情依旧波动，当中国地区黄金市场开市后，通常与休市的前一天，金价走势出现较大的断层，此时客户需谨慎应对开市后的金价走势执行平仓操作。周五至周日的话，由于周六凌晨至下周一早间开盘前，也会出现推动金价涨跌的因素，而周一开市即把积压了的投资情绪一下子爆发，这当然会导致金价在新的交易日里有较大的跳空。

朱先生于4月30日在大田环球贵金属买入2手伦敦金多单，4月30日当晚的最后一个收盘价假设为1302美元/盎司，经历了中国香港地区的五一假期以后，朱先生于5月4日早间亚洲时段把4月30日的伦敦金多单作平仓处理，那么朱先生需支付的伦敦金过市保证金为
伦敦金过市保证金=每手的伦敦金过市保证金*交易手数
=1500美元/手*2=3000美元
