最新联邦基金利率期货显示，市场预期的美联储年内加息几率再度上升，12月加息几率由68%上升为70%，2016年1月加息季率为73%，2016年3月加息几率为86%；美联储加息预期再度升温进一步施压欧元兑美元。美联储众官员发表12月加息的言论，支撑美指。不过美指上涨幅度和力度较之前明显放缓。美联储主席耶伦周一晚间发表公开言论坦然了支撑12月加息的观点，但其也表达了谨慎的观点。欧元兑美元周一跌至七个月低点1.06后反弹，随后公布的欧元区及德国制造业PMI超预期，但料提振作用有限。
