意大利总理蒙蒂周五表示，德国、法国、意大利和西班牙日内达成了协议，欧盟将采取一系列的促进经济增长的措施，规模大概为1300亿欧元，这些措施的规模将占到欧盟GDP的1%。希腊新民主党领导人萨马拉斯周三宣誓就任该国总理一职。新政府的成功建立，宣告了自5月6日首度大选后出现的政治僵局已得到最终解决。不过刚刚组建的新政府，仍留给了市场一个巨大的问号，即其是否会要求修改援助协议。而此前投资者对美联储推出QE3的预期已被反映在了前一段时间的金价走势中，因而在QE3未能如愿推出后，黄金价格也出现了较大回落。
