虽然德国宪法法院批准了欧洲稳定机制(ESM)，利好黄金市场，但在美联储(FED)举行政策会议前，投资者谨慎情绪令涨幅受限。德国宪法法院称，准许在特定条件下批准ESM、财政协议；驳回反对ESM及财政协定的申述，因申述大多缺乏凭据；驳回反对欧洲央行购债的申述。德国宪法法院开始宣读有关ESM和财政公约的裁决后，美元指数跌至四个月新低，黄金价格走高，但美联储公布决议在即，黄金涨幅受限。美联储料将在周三开始的两日政策会议上推出另一轮量化宽松措施(QE3)，此举或会进一步提振金价。
