因美指全天大幅震荡并于收盘时段高位回落，金价获得1180美元/盎司上方的重要支撑，虽希腊违约担忧情绪仍在市场中发酵，但对金市的利好推动已经大幅减弱，总体为较为清淡的空头行情。新一轮谈判将会在周三于布鲁塞尔继续展开，一名希腊政府官员表示，双方已经开始起草一份技术问题的协议，协议中将包括雅典方面一直期望的不改变工资以及养老金制度，以及较低的财政开支目标。但欧盟国家官方很快否认了这一说法，称这只是希腊方面的一厢情愿。
