从基本面来判断，这几天避险意愿有所升高。主要是出于以下几个因素：美国债务上限问题、财政问题和经济数据。美国8月耐久财(耐用品)订单仅较前月略有上升，或显示企业在投资方面停滞不前，因政府支出存在不确定性。不过单看耐久财数据对华尔街人气影响不大，后者更为关注美国国会对政府支出和债务的争论。美国财政部长雅各布·卢对国会发出警告，10月17日之前美国将达到借款上限，届时将只剩下大约300亿美元现金。“如果政府不能支付各种账单，结果将是灾难性的，”雅各布·卢称。
