美国政府停摆已经过去一周，而紧接而来的债务违约风险也逐渐加大。隔夜市场恐慌情绪显著升温，VIX指数单日飙升15.95%逼近20大关，同时美国信用违约互换市场也急剧走强。美国白宫数名官员10月7日仍然态度强硬地表示，总统奥巴马不会在受到债务违约威胁的情况下与国会共和党谈判，上调美国债务上限应当由国会负责。白宫首席经济学家福尔曼相信国会众议院共和党籍议长博纳还有能力再次中规中矩地上调了债务上限。消息提升避险，利好黄金。
