2、“如果要反映出未来的价格，那么目前的市场价格总是错误的。”索罗斯显然不是一个效率市场假说(efficient market hypothesis)的信徒。这并不奇怪，因为如果市场总是有效率，他就不会成为富豪。
3、“市场能够影响其所期待的事件。”这句话其实就是指市场的“自反性”理论。在索罗斯看来，市场和人们对市场的看法是相互作用的。索罗斯说，“在认知和现实之间存在一个双向的自反联系，这是一种起初会促进自我强化、但最终会导致自我击溃的过程，或者可以说这就是泡沫。每个泡沫都是由一种趋势和一个错误的概念以自反的方式相互作用而形成的。”
