3:性格也很重要:
有骨气是好事，但放在金市就不一定了，你得能屈能伸，你得敢于低头，因为你控制不了行情的起伏，你只能随大盘顺势而为。太要强的人容易越亏越勇，绝不认输，太懦弱的人亏几次就黄了。而一旦连赢几单以后又都胆子大的不可思议，这样绝对是很危险的。
4：善于学习，有一定的悟性：
这东西其实和聪明与否关系不大，它是一种综合总结能力，就是把你看到、听到、学到、想到的东西综合起来进行总结，最终成为自己的东西。这种能力很重要，尤其在分析、预测行情的时候更是不可缺少。它还能让你形成自己的炒金模式[或者说风格]，这是独一无二的，只属于你的。没有自己的东西你就不可能有稳定的模式，没有稳定的模式你就不可能在金市场稳住阵脚。
5：有一定的理财意识：
如果你具备了以上四点，那么在金市钱的多少就没有想象中那么举足轻重了。投资黄金不要指望一夜暴富、一单暴利，你得有细水长流的准备，在不打乱日常生活的前提下在金市投入一定比例的资金。这就是所谓的一定的理财意识。
