现货黄金延迟交易又称作黄金现货延迟交易，它是一种由国内上海黄金交易交易所新推出的黄金投资理财产品，采用保证金账户进行双向交易式的买卖，双向交易就是指投资者随着黄金价格的涨跌进行高抛低吸或高吸低抛，做多做空均可，以便跟随国际金价形成的波动差价中获取利润，通过现货黄金延迟交易，我们除了可以对买入的现货黄金进行做空这一反向操作，也可以直接到所在贵金属现货交易所的指定仓库中提取实物黄金，实物黄金主要包括同等价格的金条、金币等等。
现货黄金延迟交易中的“延迟交易”，指的是延期交收交易的意思，客户可以选择延期合约，在当天就可以进行实物黄金交割，也可以把实物黄金交割的日期推迟，在推迟交割的过程中，将引入延期费机制。
延期费机制的两大好处，一是可以平抑黄金生产商和售金商的供求矛盾关系，二是可以为黄金生产商和用金的加工或售金企业提供了套期保值的功能。
我们来看一下现货黄金延迟交易的价格是如何敲定的？
由于现货黄金延迟交易的价格，跟随国际现货黄金行情的变动而行，而国际现货黄金价格的制定，主要有全球五大金融银行构成定价制，每天制定两次金价，一次是早上的10时30分，另一次则为下午3时，由洛希尔公司的首席代表，根据前一天晚上的伦敦黄金市场收盘以后的纽约黄金市场价格以及翌日开始的香港黄金市场价格，定出一个适当的香港黄金市场开盘价。。其余四家公司代表则分坐在”黄金屋”的四周，立即将开盘价报给各自公司的交易室，各个公司的交易室则马上按照这个价格进行交易，把最新的黄金价格用电话或电传转告给其客户，并通过路透社把价格呈现在各自交易室的电脑系统终端。现时伦敦黄金交易所里的5个定价银行分别是德意志银行、美国汇丰银行、英国洛希尔投资银行、美国共和银行、加拿大枫叶银行。
