世人为何如此迷恋黄金投资

如今，黄金现货与期货交易规模，其投资性，以及某些标示意义，一点也不比哪种大宗商品逊色。在黄金博物馆，就有国内外黄金交易的实时行情电子显示屏。
那么，世人为何会如此迷恋黄金呢？
其实，相比任何一种大宗商品，黄金的实际用途都不大，却具有其他商品都没有的货币特性。黄金曾充当过迄今历时最长的货币，即使在纯粹纸币本位的当代，黄金仍是影子货币，恐怕没有哪家中央银行不储备黄金。越是金融市场和经济大幅动荡与危机时，官方和民间对黄金储备的需求就越大。
黄金正式退出名义上的货币王位，仅仅只有四十多年。此前，或是纯粹金本位制度，或是金银双本位，或是以黄金为后盾的可兑换本位。无论如何，当今的人们都无法摆脱那金灿灿的余晖。黄金的交易价格，更多是其货币性价值的体现。
尽管不可能再有金币流通，恢复金本位更难以想象，但这些穿着黄色盔甲的“小神灵”，仍像夏秋夜色中的萤火虫，不时吸引着人们的目光。对此，同样强烈反对金本位的弗里德曼，有个形象的概括：“就像老兵逐渐衰老那样，黄金的作用并没有完全消失，而只是缓慢的减弱。”熊彼特在评价18世纪初制造了纸币和密西西比泡沫的那位约翰·劳时，以十分肯定的语气写道：“制造货币！信用是货币的制造者！”如果货币是制造的，那么信用呢？对此，沃尔特·贝格霍特界定说：“信用是一种动力，它可能自然增长，但无法人为构造。”这话耐人寻味。
