現貨黃金做多做空是一種行業術語，也是一種操作方式。由於現貨黃金的雙向交易機制，買漲買跌都能賺錢，所以說無論現貨黃金價格上漲還是下跌，只要方向對了，投資者們都能從中盈利。
做多，預期黃金價格上漲，下注買漲黃金就是做多；做空，預期黃金價格下跌，下注買跌黃金就是做空。
所謂的做多，也叫買升或買入，指的是投資者看好現貨黃金的未來上漲前景而入市建立多單，待後市價格上漲後，再以高價賣出合約，賺取差額利潤。
所謂的做空，也叫買跌或賣出，與做多相對，是指投資者判斷未來現貨黃金價格將有所下跌，而進場建立空單，待後市價格走跌後，再以低價買進合約，從而賺取差價利潤。
如同骰盅遊戲買大買小，現貨黃金交易就是做空做多，在交易訂單中，賣就是做空，以賣出價格下單；買就是做多，以買入價格下單。
