美联储持续加息，若其他国家货币机构没有提高利率，那么美元相对其他货币的吸引力就会增加，从而导致其他货币贬值。黄金具有避险作用，是一种避险资产，当本国的货币贬值，投资者会选择买入黄金去避免资产缩水。不过，目前美联储加息，大部分国家也跟着加息，货币贬值幅度不大。
存款利率上升，资金从黄金市场流出
美联储持续加息，美国本国的存款利率上升，人们更愿意去做存款投资，因为此时存款的利息高。在这种背景下，投资者可能倾向于将资金流出黄金市场并投资于其他利率相关的资产，此时金价可能会下跌。在每次美联储将要加息之前，金价往往会下跌一波，7月份加息似乎是必然的事情，金价后续可能跌破1900美元。
通胀预期下跌，黄金需求下降
美联储加息是为了降低通胀，如果市场场预期通胀将保持在合理水平，那么加息可能导致市场对黄金的需求下降。在不断加息的背景下，目前通胀维持在了4%左右，离2%的目标还有一段距离，所以金价依然会得到一定支撑，但当通胀水平越来越接近2%，那么金价的支撑条件可能会消失，从而陷入下跌趋势。
