美國總統特朗普將出席該峰會，或將遭到各國集體抨擊。作為東道主，加拿大很可能帶頭“圍毆”特朗普。尤其是G7財長和央行行長罕見的發表聲明，稱如有需要，將會果斷對美國采取行動。法國經濟部長勒梅爾稱，美國在貿易討論中受到孤立。
