黃紹山：中美貿易戰持續消退
大田環球貴金屬消息得知，美國財政部部長姆努欽在5月20日當日表示，中美兩國在貿易框架方面已達成協議，同意停止貿易戰。而在聲明當中結論部分一共六段，而總結下來分別是雙方同意：採取有效的措施，實質性地減少美國對中國貨物的貿易逆差、有意義地增加美國農產品和能源的進出口、如何擴大製造業產品和服務貿易，創造有利條件增加上述領域的貿易達成共識進行討論、高度重視雙方智慧財產權保護、鼓勵雙向投資、雙方同意就此繼續保持高層溝通的六項協定。
當中美貿易戰達成協議，貿易戰情緒開始持續消退的時候，歐盟與日本方面又有不一樣的動作出現。5月18日，歐盟想世貿組織表示，已經準備好對美國鋼鋁關稅開展報復性措施，同時包括對摩托車，波旁威士卡等進行增加關稅的徵收。歐盟指出受到美方增加鋼材關稅措施的影響價值53億歐元，鋁則為11.1億歐元，若不能得到永久的豁免，歐盟出口將會因此而受到嚴重損害，同時歐盟堅決要求獲得永久免去關稅的待遇，為磋商中擁有實質性的貿易利益。
而日本方面也向世界貿易組織作出告知，並將會準備好對價值500億日元的美國商品徵收關稅，採取報復措施，反對美國對鋼鐵以及鋁製品方面徵收關稅，但日本方面並未進一步透露徵收美國關稅物品的清單。
大田環球黃紹山認為，本次貿易消息方面率先由歐盟與日本發起所謂的報復性措施消息，短期內令到黃金市場避險情緒稍微高漲，並於上週五收盤前出現小幅沖高，但隨後於北京時間5月20日周日中美貿易戰達成多方面磋商後，貿易戰避險情緒持續減退，今日現貨黃金開盤後開始回落，並抹平週五漲幅甚至創出新低，後市黃金方面依舊持續弱勢，而美元方面持續走強，衝擊至94上方。
