美国消费者物价9月温和上升，通胀疲软的境况应会令美联储有足够的空间在一段时间内维持利率在低位。劳工部周三公布，美国9月CPI较前月上涨0.1%，食品和住宅成本上升抵消了能源价格的下跌。扣除食品和能源价格的所谓核心CPI较前月微升0.1%，较上年同期增幅持稳在1.7%。
分析师已经预期上月的CPI持稳，数据公布后美国现货公债价格下滑，美元指数上涨。美国股市起初走高。
