美国第3季经常帐赤字意外创下近4年新低，主要反映出口，以及海外收入如劳务、投资、移转等收益增加。美国商务部经济分析局(BEA)17日公布，2013年第3季经常帐赤字季减1.86%至948亿美元，此为2009年第3季以来新低。据路透社调查，经济学家原预估经常帐赤字将扩增至1千亿美元。数据显示，第3季美国商品/劳务的贸易逆差总和，自前季的1,181亿美元增加至1,207亿美元，其中商品贸易赤字由1,757亿美元上升至1,786亿美元，而服务进出口顺差自576亿美元增加至579亿美元。另外，海外投资、汇款与劳务收入盈余自前季的560亿美元上升至600亿美元。
美国第3季经常帐赤字占GDP比重由前季的2.3%下滑至2.2%，创1998年第1季以来新低。经常帐赤字对美国GDP占比重曾在2005年第4季达最高峰至6.2%。
