排除波动剧烈的运输项目不计，10月工厂订单总额约与前月持平；若排除国防项目不计，工厂订单则月减0.6%。衡量未来需求的未完成订单月增0.4%至1.046兆美元。
工厂出货月增0.1%；工厂存货月增0.1%；存货/出货比与前月持平同为1.29，意味着以当前出货速度计，制造商库存足以支应1.29个月。
