美国两党寻求提高债务上限 NYMEX原油期货上升

纽约商业交易所（NYMEX）11月原油期货10月8日上涨0.46美元或0.5%成为每桶103.49美元，因美国两党正寻求可以提高债务上限的方法，欧洲ICE期货交易所（ICE Futures Europe）11月布兰特原油上涨0.48美元或0.4%成为每桶110.16美元。两者的价差由前一交易日的6.65美元扩大至6.67美元。
《华盛顿邮报》报导，美国总统奥巴马以及参议院民主党人士7日敦促国会通过提高政府债务上限议案，并松口接受短期提高债务上限。美国民主党人士表示，他们将会施压共和党通过提高债务上限的议案，以保证联邦政府不会在本月由于无法支付债务而出现债务违约，并称当前僵持的局面下，短期提高债务上限亦可以接受的。
美国能源信息局（EIA）公布，10月7日全美普通汽油平均零售价格为每加仑3.367美元，较前周下跌5.8美分，为连续第5周下跌并创下今年一月以来新低，主要因为夏季需求结束以及原油价格下跌的影响；与去年同期相比下跌43.6美分。美国汽车协会（AAA）数据则显示，7日全美普通汽油平均零售价格为每加仑3.346美元。AAA发言人Avery Ash此前预计，汽油均价至年底以前可能还会下跌25-30美分。
路透社报导，根据Lundberg survey，美国零售汽油均价过去两周累计下跌近14美分，此创下去年12月以来的连续两周最大跌幅。但主持该项调查的Trilby Lundberg表示，过去两周原油价格的变化并不太大，预计原油价格必须要有较大幅度的滑落之后，汽油价格才可望进一步下跌。根据该调查，全美零售汽油均价最便宜的城市是圣路易市的每加仑3.01美元，旧金山市则是最贵达3.88美元。
美国投资银行Raymond James分析师Marshall Adkins在报告中称，受到美国最大页岩气产地马赛勒斯页岩产量增长的带动，预估今年底美国天然气日产量将年增24亿立方英尺达到682亿立方英尺，此超过美国能源部的预估；Adkins也预期至2018年，美国天然气日产量将达到754亿立方英尺，其对长期天然气的价格预估则为每千立方英尺4.25美元。
美国能源部的预估显示，今年天然气日产量将达到663.5亿立方英尺，至2018年，日产量将达695亿立方英尺。普氏旗下的能源顾问公司Bentek Energy则预期今年底美国天然气日产量将达到699亿立方英尺，至2018年，日产量将达827亿立方英尺。Bentek预估天然气价格将从今年11月的每千立方英尺3.63美元，上涨至2018年的4.76美元。
Adkins表示，马赛勒斯页岩天然气日产量从2009年12月的4亿立方英尺，增加至目前的75亿立方英尺，即使过去12个月其天然气探勘井数量减半，且管道的建设延迟令其天然气无法以完全产能供应市场。Adkins指出，虽然一般认为受到天然气价格低迷的影响，美国天然气产量最终将会下滑，但此可能不会在近期发生，主要因为生产商持续改进生产效率的缘故。
