中国公布的经济数据增强了投资者的信心，即中国经济或许正在走出最近增长放缓的局面。这支撑了澳大利亚和新西兰等与中国有大量贸易往来国家的货币。
中国统计局周二表示，8月份工业增加值较上年同期增长10.4%，超出市场预期。另一份报告显示，1-8月非农固定投资较上年同期增长20.3%。
