鮑威爾“鷹”氣逼人，多頭痛失良機
周三（12月1日）亞洲時段，現貨黃金交投于1775附近。周二（11月30日）金價大幅衝高後回落，錄得小幅下跌，主要因美聯儲主席鮑威爾表示將加快縮減購債，令市場恐慌抛售。但美元走軟以及美歐通脹高企對金價有一定的支撐。
鮑威爾“鷹”氣逼人
美聯儲主席鮑威爾周二表示，美聯儲決策者將在12月討論是否比預期提前幾個月結束購債，他指出，美國經濟強勁，勞動力供應增長停滯，高通脹預計將持續到2022年年中。
鮑威爾講話的鷹派基調令許多分析師大感意外。他還補充說，雖然在12月14-15日的美聯儲政策會議上可以更好地了解新冠病毒最新變種帶來的經濟風險，但無論如何風險將遠低于2020年春大流行爆發時的水平。
“自上次會議以來，我們看到通脹壓力基本處于較高水平，勞動力市場數據非常強勁，但勞動力供應沒有任何改善，支出數據也很強勁，”鮑威爾對參議院金融委員會成員表示。
鮑威爾稱，高通脹預計要到2022年下半年才會緩解。目前通脹年率是美聯儲2%彈性目標的逾兩倍，而美聯儲一直將高通脹定性為“暫時的”。
考慮到通脹已經持續了這麽久，鮑威爾稱，“我認為可能是時候讓這個詞退役了。”
鮑威爾在證詞中表示，“實際上，我們將在幾周後的下一次會議上討論加快縮減購債的問題。”
利率期貨交易員恢複了對美聯儲明年6月開始加息以及在2022年底前至少再加息一次的預期。
摩根大通經濟學家Michael Feroli在一份報告中寫道，“現在看來，除非未來兩周內公共衛生狀況惡化，否則聯邦公開市場委員會(FOMC)將會在下次會議上決定加快縮減步伐。”
克拉裏達稱沒人對通脹高于2%目標感到高興
美聯儲副主席克拉裏達周二表示，美聯儲官員不樂見通脹高于2%目標，如果明年繼續保持這樣的通脹率水平，那將不是件好事。
“當我們的目標是2%，而通脹率卻在4%或5%時，沒有人會感到高興，”克拉裏達在與克利夫蘭聯儲主席梅斯特談話時表示，“今年出現這樣的情況並不是件好事，如果明年通脹仍處于這樣的水平，我不會認為這是件好事。“
包括美聯儲主席鮑威爾在內的多位美聯儲官員表示，通脹持續的時間可能超過他們最初的預期。鮑威爾周二稍早在參議院聽證會上表示，決策者將在12月討論是否應該比目前提前幾個月結束購債計劃。
克拉裏達周二未對美聯儲縮減購債計劃置評。他表示，美聯儲已達到其通脹目標，並指出壓低實際通脹率對于錨定通脹預期至關重要。他說，在加息之前，美聯儲還需要實現充分就業目標。
