美元走低黃金衝高回落，煤炭系期貨夜盤全部跌停
周二(10月19日)美元兌多數G-10貨幣下跌，強勁的企業盈利報告提振美股上揚，包括英鎊在內的其他貨幣受到較之前預期更早升息的預期提振；紐元和澳元領漲，分別觸及四個月和三個月高點。黃金期貨收高，盡管全球股市上漲帶來下行壓力，但美元走軟仍幫助黃金價格錄得三個交易日來的首次上漲。全球能源供應持續吃緊，美油尾盤漲近1%，創約七年來的最高收盤價。
美聯儲官員傾向11月減碼
美聯儲理事Waller表示：“我傾向于美聯儲11月份宣布開始減碼QE；如果通脹仍然保持在高位，我將支持FOMC提前加息。並不認為美聯儲將在完成Taper之後迅速加息。美國的高通脹可能是暫時性的，但通脹風險仍然讓人感到憂心忡忡。對于理解通脹而言，未來短短數月將是關鍵。美國可能已經熬過新冠肺炎德爾塔變異毒株疫情最糟糕的時期。”
在銅價大幅波動後 LME開始對銅交易進行調查
據知情人士透露，倫敦金屬交易所（LME）自8月初以來已向會員發送電子郵件，要求了解更多客戶交易銅權證活動的細節。郵件由LME的市場監管部門發出，詢問了會員及客戶進行銅倉單交易的商業原因 。此前LME銅庫存降至1974年以來的最低水平。
