風險偏好降溫美元走強，黃金大跌30美元
周二(9月7日)美元上漲，進一步脫離上周觸及的近一個月低位，美債收益率上升促使投資者在本周歐洲央行會議前削減美元兌歐元的空頭倉位；G-10貨幣中，加元和澳元表現最差。黃金價格跌破1800關口，創一個多月最大跌幅，因美國勞動節假期過後美元走強，且經通脹調整後收益率上漲。油價連續第二個交易日走低，因美元上漲抵消了強勁中國貿易數據以及美國墨西哥灣持續生産中斷的影響。
英國首相約翰遜宣布增稅
英國首相約翰遜宣布對工人、企業和股東增稅，以幫助恢複英國國家醫療服務系統（NHS），改革“破損的”社會保障體系。英國國民保險（工資稅）將從明年起上調1.25%。約翰遜稱，股息稅也將提高1.25%。
波羅的海幹散貨運價指數跌至三周低點
因所有類型的船運需求均放緩，波羅的海幹散貨運價指數周二跌115點或3%，報3707點，連續第六個交易日錄得下跌，並創下8月中旬以來新低。海岬型船運價指數跌271點或5.1%，報5091點，為三周以來最低，日均獲利減少2245美元至42220美元。巴拿馬型船運價指數跌48點或1.4%，至近一個月新低的3496點，日均獲利減少427美元至31468美元。超靈便型船運價指數跌37點，報3256點，為8月19日以來最低水平。
