隨著市場對疫苗接種和經濟開放的樂觀情緒不斷上升，市場對黃金的興趣在近幾個月以來大幅減少，讓金價不斷刷新新低，但分析師認為，當前正處於新一輪牛市的早期，因為針對疫情限制措施的擔憂情緒也在不斷升溫。
短期內金價的兩個主要看跌因素是對疫苗接種的樂觀情緒升溫和美元走強。儘管2020年美元疲軟刺激風險資產上漲，但我們認為，2021年不確定性的上升將再次開始變得重要，市場對美元類傳統避險資產的需求將增加，相對降低黃金的吸引力。
英國和美國等發達國家疫苗接種速度存在不同，墨西哥和巴西等新興市場因疫情遭受重創，2021年的旅行限制可能進一步升級。對於某些國家來說，2021年因疫情遭受的傷害相比2020年更嚴重。我們認為，未來18-24個月將維持社交隔離措施，這將對酒店業和旅遊業等行業的營運現金流造成巨大衝擊；
實際上，美國歷史上已經經歷過幾次牛市。上世紀70年代，黃金經歷了一次巨大的牛市。由於美國迅速增加支出導致美元走軟，大量美元被兌換為黃金。為了避免耗盡其黃金儲備，當時的美國總統尼克森關閉了黃金敞口。美國許多最大貿易夥伴國的貨幣都走強了，美元在那10年裏失去了三分之一的購買力。
到2001年，長達20多年的股市牛市以科技股泡沫破滅告終，黃金從多年熊市回升。2008年，抵押貸款危機演變為金融危機，投資銀行雷曼兄弟(Lehman Bros.)倒閉，股市大跌。金價不斷創下新高，最終在2011年突破1900美元，創下紀錄高點。
儘管針對疫情和經濟的樂觀情緒升溫，已經促使投資者遠離黃金，但我們堅信，隨著未來幾個月針對疫情限制措施持續時間的擔憂開始升溫，黃金將很快迎來另一次牛市反彈。金價的首個支撐位在1760美元，下一個支撐位在1615美元。
