10月23日，现货黄金出现较大跌幅，刷新至一周新低点，由于美元收复部分师弟，加上美国经济刺激发感谈判陷入僵局，但目前美国大选的不确定性限制了金价的跌幅，目前仍需更多消息面指引。
COMEX 12月黄金期货收涨0.03%，报1905.20美元/盎司，本周累跌不到0.1%。满地可银行基本和贵金属衍生品交易主管Tai Wong表示，目前黄金的走势确实反映了美元走势。金价目前处于每盎司1890-1930美元的“停滞不前”区间内，每次触底都会被推高。
美国众议院议长佩洛西和财政部长姆努钦周五相互指责对方应出力推动谈判向前推进，大选前通过刺激法案的可能性正在迅速消退。
佩洛西表示，特朗普应该推动磋商，并让共和党人点头同意与白宫达成的关于近2万亿美元一揽子援助计划的任何协议；她接受采访时说：“如果总统愿意配合，我们或许可以在选举前做到这一点”。
白宫谈判代表姆努钦称，谈判取得了重大进展，但他指责佩洛西不肯在民主党优先事项上做出妥协，导致磋商停滞；姆努钦对记者说：“我们提供了让步。但佩洛西在许多问题上坚持己见；如果她想妥协，那就可以达成协议”。
特朗普周五再次嘲笑佩洛西对于向州和地方政府提供援助的坚持，并指责她想推迟刺激计划，直到11月3日选举之后。
美国国家经济顾问库德洛表示，刺激计划的谈判目前进展不是很快，要完成谈判是困难的。我们不能跨越政策分歧的最后障碍。援助协议在美国大选前很难达成。
金价仍锁定在区间内，因经济刺激消息和美国选举的不确定性打压金价。在所有人的目光仍盯着美国大选的情况下，黄金投资者无需太过期待新的财政刺激措施，这将令贵金属稳固的偏向上行。
