初請失業金人數增幅超預期，金價短線上漲

在5月14日晚，美國公佈了市場較為關注的5月9日當周初請失業金人數情況，數據增長幅度超出市場預期，並在數據公佈後，現貨黃金出現小幅度上漲，美元指數則持續承壓。
具體數據顯示，美國截至5月9日當周初請失業金人數實際公佈298.10萬，預期值250萬，前值316.9萬。
美國至5月9日當周初請失業金人數錄得298.1萬人，為連續第六周下降；當周續請失業金人數續刷歷史新高。據外媒報導，美國上周初請失業金人數增加298.1萬人，高於預期，自疫情大流行開始以來，已有3600多萬人申請失業金。
從近期初請數據來看，美國就業市場的真實情況依然十分糟糕。就業人數的減少，從行業上看，商品生產部門，其中採礦業、建築業和製造業減少幅度約為10%。服務業是此次疫情衝擊的重災區，其中，批發業、零售業、運輸倉儲業、公用事業、資訊業、金融都不同程度減少，而休閒和酒店業就業人數大幅度減少接近50%，該行業受到疫情衝擊最為嚴重。
美國近期公佈的數據也顯現出疫情的衝擊，美國一季度GDP下跌4.8％，最長經濟擴張週期正式結束；美製造業和服務業PMI數據均不斷刷新歷史新低，供需兩端陷入深度衰退，美私人和企業投資均大幅下降，通脹指標亦因疫情和原油價格戰而大幅回落等。
美國政府高官警告稱，未來幾個月美國就業狀況可能大幅惡化，失業率可能攀升至25%。美國財政部長努欽承認失業率未來可能會攀升至25%，報告的數字可能會變得更糟，然後在今年下半年和2021年有所改善。
在是否重啟經濟方面，美國政府面臨兩難局面。努欽稱，不重新開放經濟危害巨大，將對美國經濟造成永久性的損傷。但美國衛生專家警告重啟經濟的步調不能太快，隨著經濟重啟人群再次聚焦，新冠疫情有可能捲土重來。
