小非農資料歷史最差，但符合市場預期

5月6日，美國公佈了市場密切關注，且素有小非農支撐的美國ADP就業資料情況，資料大幅減少2036萬人，雖然為美國歷史上的最差表現，但其表現基本符合預期，資料公佈後，現貨黃金基本維持穩定。
具體就業分項方面，4月建築業就業人數減少247.7萬人，3月減少1.6萬人。4月製造業就業人數減少167.4萬人，3月增加0.6萬人。4月貿易/運輸/公用事業就業人數減少344萬人，3月減少3.7萬人。3月金融服務業就業人數減少21.6萬人，3月為持平。
ADP月度就業報告衡量的是非農業私營部門就業情況的月度變化。按行業劃分，此次疫情中，美國受影響最嚴重的行業是貿易/運輸/公用事業，其次是建築以及行政和支援服務。休閒服務業，金融服務業就業人數小幅減少。而醫療保健行業仍在招聘。
疫情重創美國經濟。此前本週二公佈的資料顯示，美國4月ISM非製造業PMI為2009年12月以來首次陷入萎縮區間，並跌至2009年3月以來新低。其中資料表明美國服務業的需求和就業指標在4月份跌至歷史最低水準。
美國一季度實際國內生產總值(GDP)按年率計算下滑4.8%，是2008年金融危機以來最大季度收縮規模。據報導，美國二季度經濟收縮幅度可能高達40%，創下第二次世界大戰以來最高值。
大面積失業的持續時間是關鍵。美聯儲主席鮑威爾4月29日在記者會上強調，對個人來說，失業時間越長對個人技能和事業發展的損害越大，意味著重回崗位的困難越大。需要盡力防止出現長期失業的局面，從整體上影響未來美國經濟復蘇的態勢。
美國第三輪2.2萬億美元經濟救助計畫大幅提升了失業救濟的水準，由聯邦政府出錢，將領取失業救濟的時間延長13周，每週還增加了600美元，最多可以領取到7月份。這種受政策影響選擇不工作的人口比例到底有多大，也是反映美國就業形勢的一個因素。
