初請失業金人數低於預期,金價有所回落

4月23日,美國公佈了投資者密切關注的4月18日初請失業金人數情況,資料增長443萬,略低於市場預期,由於市場對該資料的疲弱有一定的預期,因此在資料公佈後,美元指數有所上漲,現貨黃金則從高位稍微回落。
具體資料顯示,美國截至4月18日當周初請失業金人數實際公佈442.70萬,預期值450萬,前值524.5萬。
美國截至4月18日當周初請失業金人數四周均值實際公佈578.65萬,前值550.85萬;美國截至4月11日當周續請失業金人數實際公佈1597.60萬,預期1673.8萬,前值1197.6萬。
初請失業金人數幾乎與預估一致,為440萬人,而續請失業金人數再次低於預期。這是最近幾周反復出現的一種模式,雖然人們很容易認為這是好消息(也許人們已經重新找到工作了),但還是要保持一定的謹慎。每週初請失業金人數與續請失業金人數之比創歷史新高,儘管預估為減少;更關鍵的是觀察持續的申領人數何時趨於平穩並開始下降

另有分析指出,在四個星期內,大衰退之後長達10年的經濟復蘇帶來的所有就業增長都被抹去了。但同樣重要的是,過去一個月的大部分失業不太可能是永久性的。如果經濟很快開始復蘇,許多甚至大多數工人將會被重新雇用或重新就業。
