12月11日，美國公佈了市場比較關注的11月末季調CPI資料，資料表現符合市場預期，現貨黃金的波動相對有限，但由於之前基本面資訊影響，金價目前保持高位的震盪，同時也在等待美聯儲決議的資訊。
具體資料顯示，美國11月未季調CPI年率實際公佈2.1%，預期2.0%，前值1.8%。

美國CPI的主要利率是作為核心PCE指標及其對美聯儲利率政策的影響的一個指標。在過去的一年裡，美國整體CPI略有下降。截至10月的12個月平均為1.79%，從2018年11月至2019年4月的6個月平均為1.85%，為1.73%。從去年11月的2.2%到今年2月的1.5%，今年的增長幅度為0.7%，但這兩個資料都來自上半年，而5月至10月的下半年增長幅度僅為1.6%至1.8%。
調查發現，未來三年通脹預期中值上升了0.1個百分點，至2.5%。未來12個月的通脹預期小幅上升0.02個百分點，至2.4%。從2013年開始的調查顯示，10月份這兩種通脹前景都處於一系列低點。
美聯儲官員今年曾三次下調利率，以使美國經濟免受全球經濟放緩、與中國曠日持久的貿易戰以及商業投資下滑等潛在風險的影響。自上次降息以來，幾位政策制定者一直強調通脹過低的風險，並暗示願意讓通脹率高於2%，以滿足美聯儲的對稱通脹目標。
政策制定者一再暗示，除非經濟前景出現嚴重惡化，否則目前處於1.5%至1.75%目標區間的利率可能暫時維持不變。美聯儲官員在本周政策會議上按兵不動的可能性在上周的就業報告出爐後有所上升。美國11月新增就業崗位26萬6千個，超過預期，使失業率降至50年來的最低點。
調查發現，員工對自己的支付能力更有信心。在未來三個月裡，錯過最低還款額的平均幾率從上個月的11.6%降至11月份的11.3%。家庭收入增長預期從10月份的2.8%上升到11月份的2.9%。
