11月11日，全球贸易忧虑仍有，金价有所反弹，而且美联储难以寻找提升通胀的举措，但英国脱欧进程传来好消息，英镑暴涨打压美元，抑制避险情绪蔓延，限制金价涨幅。
分析师说：“在特朗普发表讲话后，市场人士对于贸易前景向好趋势持越发谨慎的态度。尽管如此，市场人士可能依然乐观认为，美中能够取得进展，在今年年底前完成部分贸易协议。”
英国独立党领导人法拉奇周一宣布，不会挑战保守党在2017年大选中获得的317个席位。此举将帮助英国避免二次公投，英镑兑美元短线暴涨70点至三个交易日新高1.2895。法拉奇还补充道，将在剩余席位中挑战工党和其它党派。
约翰逊希望获得足够多的选票，以便在议会通过自己与欧盟达成的脱欧协议。考虑到这一点，法拉奇周一的表态显然是给约翰逊送去了大礼。暴涨的英镑缓和了市场对脱欧不确定性的担忧，黄金价格涨幅有所收窄。
连续进行25个基点的预防性降息，既是因为担心全球经济减速的趋势蔓延，也是为了应对低通胀。全球量化宽松热潮给市场带来的大部分只是安慰，有投资者担心，美国甚至可能发生打击需求的日本式通缩风险。
芝加哥联储主席埃文斯表示，通胀预期上升是关键。即便薪资在小幅上升，但消费者通胀预期不断下降，鉴于这种情况，提升通胀看起来是一场硬仗。
纽约联储主席威廉姆斯上周五重申了他的观点，即今年降息应恰当应对贸易纷争和全球经济放缓等潜在风险。
威廉姆斯说，经济数据预示失业率处于低位之际就业市场表现强劲。他还强调，3.5%的低失业率并未引发高通胀。
周五还将公布美国10月零售销售和工业生产数据。面对制造业困境及持续数月的贸易紧张情势，消费者能否继续推动经济增长。
需要指出的是，美联储偏爱的核心个人消费支出指标在1.6%左右，且自金融危机前以来，大多数时候都低于2%的目标水准，美联储也尚未排除2020年再降息的可能性，因此无法轻言美元重新开启单边上扬走势。
