8月12日，现货黄金行情继续围绕者千五关口展开持续的震荡，同时贸易形势的不确定性也进一步强化了全球经济增长放缓的担忧。上周出炉的经济数据也验证了市场的预期，英国经济出现首次萎缩，德国工业声场遭遇最大年度跌幅。
包括新加坡和日本在内的许多亚洲市场周一逢假期休市。贸易纷争升级，引发了金价的强劲反弹，本月迄今已上涨近6%。
分析师说：“金价上涨所面临的一个风险是贸易前景，美方现在态度立场打消了贸易争端将很快得到解决的可能性。”
分析师说：“如果贸易摩擦持续，金价前景仍将正面；我们的确看到金价在1500美元上方附近持稳。短期内，金价继续上涨的可能性很大。”
全球经济衰退风险正在上升，并且在2020年美国总统大选前不再预期贸易形势好转，强化了由此带来的破坏性影响力。
上周出炉的经济数据似乎也佐证了相关预期，英国经济在二季度出现2012年以来首次萎缩，而德国工业生产遭遇9年来最大年度跌幅。
美国商品期货交易委员会(CFTC)周五表示，对冲基金与基金公司在8月6日止当周增持纽约商品期货交易所(COMEX)期金多仓，并削减白银净多仓。
目前市场对避险资产的热度仍维持在一个比较高的地位，除非有新的因素对避险资产产生比较明显的作用，否则黄金这种避险资产将受到持续的关注。
